Unfortunately I only ended up saving the one I've already posted, so instead I will show you this video which was the first release of this mod for private testing.
At the time the only playable heroes were Celestia and Luna, but as time went on other heroes started being added like the mane 6 or other prominent background ponies.

READ BELOW IF YOU ARE CURIOUS ABOUT THE MECHANICS OF EACH HERO

Each hero had a different ultimate that was made to fit the character.
For instance, Celestia's ultimate caused explosions to appear around the members of the opposing team. Such explosions were merely aesthetic, the real effect her ultimate had was a steady drain of HP which stopped at 1HP. So if such team had no medics they were instantly steamrolled. Also, she only had a melee weapon but I don't remember which.

Luna was a carbon copy of Celestia, the only difference was the music that played during her ultimate.

Applejack's character had a similar function to the Engineer. She had a wrench and could build the same things a normal Engineer could, and due to that fact alone, she was simply the best defensive hero of that gamemode. Her buffed health plus the functions and capabilities of a normal engineer were extremely powerfull on defense. I remember her ultimate frequently causing alot of rage which was expressed via voice or normal chat. It spawned lots of crates with minisentries on top of them in random positions close to teammates, which completely nulified 90% of pushes made by the enemy team.

Rainbow Dash's character had a similar function to the Scout, she also had a ridiculous amount of double jumps, which were around 20 if I'm not mistaken. A good RD player could be offensive and rush a team VIP like a Medic, kill him and get out without losing too much HP due to her mobility and double jumps. Her ultimate caused a rainbow to expand outwards from the position in which she activated it. It caused her and her teammates to become 1.5x faster than normal, and also caused a rainbow trail to appear from behind her and her teammates as they moved during the ultimate.I also think that RD's team had their firing rate increased as well but I don't remember so I can't confirm that fact. Her weapon was The Sandman, a Scout melee.

Fluttershy was one of the most overpowered and often the most frequently picked hero. She played like the Medic and had a Medigun and a Bonesaw as weapons. The fact that she had more health than normal Medics meant that her team was constantly being healed and since she usually sat behind her teammates she was at a low risk of being killed compared to other heroes, and if that wasn't enough her uber provided invulnerability and critical hits to her target. But that's not even the most ridiculous part. Her ultimate caused EVERYONE on her team to be constantly healed without her intervention to the point of being overhealed (1.5x the normal HP of a class). It pretty much guaranteed the capture of a point in most cases.

Pinkie Pie played like the Soldier, she had a normal Shovel as a melee weapon and had the best DPS out of all the heroes due to her ultimate. Her ultimate gave her a Rocket Launcher with permanent crits that had a retarded blast radious and ridiculous damage, It didn't matter if you were a overhealed Heavy, you would still die. I remember instances where a player used Pinkies ultimate on a large cluster of enemies, the killfeed basically lit up instantly and her team proceeded to win the match. The only notable downside was her ammo count which was only 2 clips of 6 rockets each if I remember correctly.

Rarity played like the Spy, but the only weapons she had were a regular Knife, so she couldn't destroy sentries with sappers and couldn't disguise, but she still could become invisible at will. Her ultimate caused the enemies to become temporarily scared, which made it so they moved at half their regular speed and coudnt't attack. This effect was also applied to the enemy sentry guns, but the downside was that if the enemy or buildings weren't close to her, the desired effect didn't happen.

Twilight Sparkle played like the Soldier, her weapons were a regular Shovel and a Cow Mangler with infinite ammo. I wish I could tell you but I don't remember the mechanics of her ultimate.

Chrysalis played like the Spy, much like Rarity. I also don't remember how her ultimate worked but I can tell you that she couldn't cloak like Rarity but her main weapon, Your Eternal Reward, a Spy knife, allowed her to disguise as her victim uppon sucessfull backstab. It fit her pretty well.

Vinyl Scratch played like the Soldier. She had a melee weapon which was a normal Shovel and a primary weapon which was a Black Box, (rocket launcher) which did 1 damage to enemies but had considerable knockback. It served more as an harassment tool than anything else. Unfortunatly I don't remember how her ultimate worked.

Octavia played like the Medic, but only had one melee weapon, The Amputator, so she couldn't heal like Fluttershy. I also don't remember how her ultimate worked. Fun fact: when the Medic taunts with the Amputator he performs a motion which imitates a person playing the violin, which heals nearby allies. That's the reason that weapon was chosen for Octavia.

Lyra also existed as an available hero but I can't remember anything about her weapons or abilities.

Bon Bon was also there, but I also don't remember anything about her.

I will add to this post in the future if I remember anything else about this mode.

Big Mac was a playable hero as well and he played like the Heavy but with a considerable increase in speed. He only had regular Fists as a melee weapon. His ultimate caused an imediate stun in the opposing team just like Rarity and also applied a defensive buff to his entire team.

Twilight Sparkle's ultimate caused the enemy team to be marked for death which granted mini-crits everytime a hit was landed on them and also caused their outlines to be revealed through walls if you were close enough to the enemy.

Trixie played like the Pyro, her weapons were the Sharpened Volcano Fragment for melee, and a regular Flamethrower for her primary, but with its damage nerfed. Her ultimate was similar to Celestia in the sense that it also caused a steady decrease in HP, but the differences were that such steady decrease was slower, and it didn't drop at 1HP. It killed whoever didn't had a personal Medic or a healthpack nearby.

And to correct my mistake regarding Rarity's ultimate. It was applied to every enemy team member and building regardless of distance.

And also, in the case of Chrysalis, her ultimate caused an instant respawn + speed boost to happen everytime one of her team members was killed.

Pinkie Pie played like the Heavy with a slight speed increase, not Soldier. Another mistake on my part, and her melee weapon was the Holiday Punch, not the regular Shovel.

Fun hybrid MMO game who's goal is to take over the other side by shooting and taking over bases.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/505460/Foxhole/
https://foxhole.fandom.com/wiki/Community_Guides/Getting_Started

Almost everything is user-crafted and there are heavy aspects of logistics involved, as well as disrupting the logistics of the other team.
The game has an end-point when you take over the main home-base of the other team (or something like that).

The mane problem with the game? It does not have a pony clan as far as I can tell.

Bought the game a few days ago and searched pretty hard for a pony clan but couldn't find much of anything.
My goal is to try to drag some of you in with me and have fun shooting at blueberries (wardens) - which means if you play, it should be for the south, the Colonials.

I feel ready. I have read the majority of the combat section in the Player's Handbook. But even the book says that the best way to truly learn these rules is to play and go back to check when needed on the rules in the book.
This is simple game, with simple things happening to simple ponies and simple players (you). This is my first time dming, if there is an intrest that is, so I appriciate anyone correcting me on the rules as we go along. However, I might still not use them at times because I might disagree with the rules in those specific situations. I don't know yet it's about context.

So here's the simple gist of this small adventure (2-3 sessions).

Daring Doo the epic adventurer has return from another tressure hunt with a broken leg. Drats! She who just figured out the location of the extremly valuable artifact the Obsidian Mouse. Double drats! The criminal Meowster has also learnt of this location and is on his way there now. Who will Daring Doo turn to in this hour of need? Well a ragtag team of newbie adventures with big ambitions, you!

The special homebrew rule for this one-shot is that we're doing the 5e thing were we don't need to confirm our critical hits with another roll against AC.

As I said before, I'm just dipping my feet into this dming stuff. I hope we can have some fun together anyway.

Well, if you feel up for it please inform me by just posting it in this thread. I had a time in mind, which is about six hours from now but not a date (10.00 pm CDT). But that time might not suit everyone so let's just discuss it here which times and dates that fits people the best.

Otherwise, this a level one adventure so feel free to create a level 1 character. Feel free to ask any questions regarding anything.

Mustard Trim isn't the only pony twitching, as she is definitely wet back there now in a way she hasn't felt since they were on that hill. She nickers softly as her hoof skirts the flare of his very sensitive tip, her eyes marveling at its details. "So...hhh...how do I check if you're a virgin?" she asks. Her other hoof gets a feel of the now wrinkly texture of his sack as it pulls inward; though her pressure isn't enough to be painful, it's slightly uncomfortable.

Red Hand of Doom - Part V: The Fane of Tiamat

A year later and we've finally come to the final part of the classic 3.5e campaign, Red Hand of Doom.

In Part IV, our heroes finally faced the Red Hand Army, and due to their great labors throughout their adventure, they were able to successfully repel the horde from Brindol and save the say!

BUT

After only a day of celebration, new intelligence emerges from the Shadow Guard: The goblin army was only the tip of the iceberg. The Red Hand's true leader is preparing a ritual to open a gate to Avernus and summon a massive army of devils, dragons and undead that, if summoned, would surely spell doom for Brindol, Elsir Vale, and possibly the entire world. With remaining time measured in Days rather than weeks, Lord Jarmaath has called his favorite fantasy SWAT team (the party) to deal with the measure by stopping the ritual and decapitating the enemy leadership by defeating the real BBEG. Lord Jarmaath has ordered Immerstal the Red to fork over his scroll of Teleport to offer the party light speed transportation across the vale, and since I'm feeling generous, they'll also recieve a Minor Schema of Cavalry call (crafted from one of Cromar's [War] spells, that will allow them to summon a small herd of pastel horses to carry them.

Our heroes had best make haste, for time is scarce and the enemy is cunning. Will they be able to defeat the Doom Hand Warpriests and save the world? Only time can tell.

And so ends the tale of Azarr Kul, Fighting Son of Tyrgarun.

With Azarr Kul slain, the PCs have decapitated the Red Hand horde. With no Wyrmlords alive, the remaining hobgoblins scatter back into the wilds, to be hunted down and slain by vengeful humans or elves over the next several months. The PCs still have to deal with a rogue aspect of Tiamat, but they can at least take the time to rest and recover.
The aspect is here to stay—it has been called to the Material Plane and has no intention of leaving until it razes Elsir Vale. Fortunately, the aspect of Tiamat has no capacity for or interest in leading a horde, so it amounts to a single, powerful, rage-filled creature hell-bent on vengeance. The PCs don’t need to defeat it now—in fact, escaping the Fane is a wise move.

Upon their return to Brindol, the PCs find the city already returning to normal. Many of the refugees have returned to town, while those who had homes in the western Vale begin the trip back home to rebuild. Many have died, but many more have lived due to the PCs’ intervention. The party are hailed as heroes, and rightfully so.

Lord Jarmaath makes good on his promise to reward the PCs, and not long after they return they receive an invitation to visit him at Brindol Keep.

Aral Tel'thuen'slaugh Avaemaskan: For your skill as the undisputed deadliest archer in the vale, and also the most powerful Wizard, the Tiri Kitor Elves have decided to return to you all pieces of the Green Runner's Array.
In Addition, you recieve a Survivor's Pouch, and a stack of Fifty +1 Spitting Razorfeather Serpentongue, Razorsharp, Serrated, Dragonfang (acid) Arrows.

Night Shroud: For your labors in service of the church, your rank among the Shadow Guard has risen to Shadow Apostle (that means Greater Invisibility 1/day).
You recieve two items to commemorate your skill in the Shadow-Sun style: The Shadow Hands (which double as a set of +4 Gloves of Dexterity), and the ruby Slippers of the Setting Sun. Both Items are Scholar Tier.

Artorias Greenmarsch: you have come to the end of your crusade, and to signal your victory, your holy symbol has turned to Platinum, a documented miracle among the champions of Bahamut. It now functions as a True Holy Symbol, and grants the Improved Granted Power of the Luck domain.
For your Labors, you recieve a set of +3 Platinum, Spell-storing, Dwarvencraft Full Plate, with the Ornate and Dragoncraft Qualitues (Force Resistance 5, count as medium), emblazoned with the crest of Bahamut.

In addition, as documented before in the Church of Bahamut (and this adventure), Azarr's Chromatic Rod transformed shortly after his death, morphing into a single dragon's head made of platinum. It functions as a typical chromatic rod, except that it counts as a +1 razorsharp, dragonfang (+1 force damage) Platinum Heavy Pick (1d8), and can be weilded as freely as if it were a morningstar. It may cast Surge of Fortune and Dispel Evil in place of Insect Plague and Dominate Person.

Sothrom Sokamad: Lord Jaramath was a little disturbed to see you, since he didn't recall comissioning a tiefling shaman, let alone a monster cat. Nevertheless, he rewards you adequately, with a fully-charged wand of Flamesands (9th CL).

It's been a great time playing with you guys. I've learned so much about DMing in the past year. Still, all good things must come to an end, and I think this ending was quite satisfying. Let's stay in touch, and maybe even work out a post-game or another adventure some time. I would gladly host another game for you all, or play a game that any of you guys ran.
Bye for now.

END OF PART 5
Artorias's Player, the Slayer of the 5-headed Aspect

?
No.152030
And so the conclusion has come... Let's finish this story, shall we?
>The aspect of Tiamat is running rampant across the veil, and the gang's got to stop this monster before it goes and ruins everything
>We all head back to Brindol to make sure that we're fully kitted out with everything we need, and Artorias picks up some surprise tools for later!
>One long rest later, we head out on our owls to go track down this super dragon and find it terrorizing some piggies on a plain
>We go hide behind some hills kinda far off and apply our buffs and call Raz'Thael back because she didn't get to do much before, and we find out some 20 minutes later that the Aspect is coming towards us!
>Initiative is rolled, and I somehow don't end up going last this time!
>Aral goes first and puts up a wind wall, attempting to do... Something, I'm not quite sure
>After that, Artorias pulls out a silver scale and special summons Blue Eyes Platinum Dragon to the field!
>After that, the Aspect of Bahamut flies over to its demonic cousin and hits her with his breath attack for a handful of damage, pissing her off further
>Raz'Thael slaps down a knife wall directly in front of the Aspect of Tiamat's flight path, pissing her off even more
>And lastly, Billie does her thing and casts haste
>Now on to somebody besides my turn!
>Umbrie flies up and lands on top of the 5-headed whore, dealing a hefty chunk of damage and pissing her off enough to firmly draw aggro
>Sothram does something here too, I think I was in the bathroom during this
>Finally, it's the aspect's turn!
>She first blasts us with a cone of fire, making us all roasty toasty before turning all of her other heads' attention on Umbrie and attempting to turn her into a tasty snack
>She fails at this, but nonetheless takes a nasty chunk out of her HP
>Next turn, Aral pincushions the Aspect for loads of damage
>Artorias lays down the first anti-dragon buff, giving everybody +4s to AC and saving throws
>Raz'Thael attempts to banish the Aspect, but unfortunately fails due to it being a beefy bitch
>Mini Bahamut does some flybys, forcing Mini Tiamat to waste her wings of cover
>Billie gives herself a divine power
>Umbrie's turn, and she goes right back to smacking around Mini Tiamat, dealing a fat wad of damage again
>Sothram uses his turn to start debuffing as well, if I remember correctly
>The Aspect's turn once again, and she elects to hit us with two breath attacks and start trying to beat up Mini B-hams
>Lil B-daddy takes it like a champ and we all take cold and acid damage like bitches, bringing (at least Artorias) down to half health
>Next turn: Aral lays down some epic damage and Umbrie manages to deal 300 damage in a single turn, Raz'Thael whips out a smite and deals a chunk herself, Artorias lays down his second anti-dragon spell letting everyone make saves against breath attacks better, and Sothram makes a dispel that manages to cut through some of the 5-headed whore's magic
>The Bitch-Duchess also does some more breath attacks and makes some more swipes at everyone engaging her in melee
>And finally, Aral hits the Aspect with a dispel that finishes off the rest of her magical bonuses and leaves her even more heavily damaged and debuffed
>Sensing the opportunity to strike, Artorias flies upwards with his new weapon in hand and charges up two strikes at once
>Combined with a released Surge of Fortune from the weapon itself, the double smite crits and subsequently confirms from a good roll meaning damage is now quadrupled!
>47 becomes 188, and the Aspect of Tiamat is blown apart by the sheer abundance of holy magic directed into its body!
(breaking now from what occurred afterwards for an in-game ending)
>As the battlefield is now strewn with technicolor chunks, high fives are given and hitpoints are refilled
>The Aspect of Bahamut and Raz'Thael both return to their homes in Celestia when their summon durations run out, and the party journeys back to Brindol to give word of the final victory to the city
>Much celebrations are had, and maybe the party goes out to get rid of the Ghostlord so the land stops being converted to the thornwastes, or maybe they don't
>That, however, is a story for another day, and should that day never come, then Artorias can be found where he's always found
>On the road between towns, offering service for just cause or proper coin
>However, unlike before, it's not out of any sort of disillusionment with his circumstances, but rather a newfound appreciation for what he does in the world
>That, and he has to set a good example for his daughter :)
But anyway, that's merely one epilogue to one part of the story. Who knows, maybe he and Billie will return to save the world again! That, however, is for another campaign. This has been the Red Hand of Doom as chronicled by me, and until we meet again!

DnD OOC Discussion Thread

Although without a doubt many people have tried playing Dungeons and Dragons in a MLP setting, afaik there is no complete rulebook or conversion set that allows for an immersive experience (this doesn't count: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Little_Pony_(5e_Race)). We've had some longstanding campaigns on /vx/ so why don't we build a reference as a community project? It doesn't necessarily have to be set in stone but it would better establish campaigns in rules of logic. It's impossible to have OOC discussion at length in a campaign so let's do it here.

Complete 3.5 rulebook: http://choisey.free.fr/3.5/Core/Indexed%20Player%20Handbook%20v3.5.pdf
Handy 3.5 reference site: http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm
A more comprehensive reference site: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/
Homebrew content: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page
"Monstrous Races" – useful if you have animals and monsters as sapient creatures like in MLP; unfortunately I don't have the book: https://www.dmsguild.com/product/230312/Monstrous-Races

What needs improving? Pretty much everything, but highest priority would be playable races and monsters, as canonically MLP is completely different from DnD in terms of sapient creatures and very different when it comes to other creatures. Amazingly entire campaigns have been played without precise knowledge of creatures' strengths and weaknesses, but setting the definitions straight will help nuance and variety.
Campaigns set outside the typical high fantasy realm of DnD, like our very own Occupied Equestria, present further uncertainty. Most guns (submachine guns were settled fairly recently, though I have no idea about LMGs/MMGs/HMGs) have already been worked out but, given it's a WW2 setting, how will vehicles function in combat? Can bits be expected to buy the same things as the recommended valuation of GP? These and any other gameplay questions can be discussed and answered here.

Eh, it's not really anything to be that sad about, it's just that overthinking elf games has kind of been my only pastime in recent months due to the kung flu.
After reading a bit more into ponyfinder groups, I think the system they use is worth more than I initially gave it credit for. I think I'd like to try it myself some time soon. Would be a great way to get into pathfinder.

I've recently had an idea of appropriating the Elements Of Harmony as Sovereign Archetypes (Eberron) or Elemental Spheres (Dark Sun) that Clerics could tap into. Each Element could essentially be it's own archetype, and grant four to six domains to a Cleric of that archetype.
It could be something like:

Honesty:
>Inquisition, Truth, Family, Humility
Kindness:
>Healing, Good, Patience,
Loyalty:
>Law, Courage, Community, Competition, Protection
Generosity:
>Generosity, Charity, Wealth, Nobility
Laughter:
>Hope, Pleasure, Joy, Courage, Trickery, Emotion
Magic:
>Magic, Spell, Knowledge, Planning, Destiny, Mysticism

Do these ideas look like they're worth exploring? I feel like I'd use something like this if I wanted to use a homebrew pony setting.

If it wasn't obvious, I didn't include any evil-leaning domains here, or a lot of the more popular domains for Clerics. The Elements of Harmony are presented as forces of Good and opposition to chaos, although an antithetical list of "Dark Elements" could be created for Evil Clerics and worshipers.
I would consider the elemental sovereigns to be flavor text for ideal Clerics, not a complete list. The Sovereign Archetypes of Eberron were only a small fraction of the ways in which Clerics could receive power in Eberron, coming in part as a supplement to the various gods of the setting who may or may not exist (it's ambiguous what gods exist or if they do at all in Eberron; but at the same time there's a lot more "ideal Clerics"; the setting is unique in that regard). Limiting Clerics to only a handful of domains due to the narrow nature of an Equestrian wouldn't really be fair to Cleric players, so Sovereign Archetypes could help fill that gap.
I feel like it's actually pretty important for Clerics to have pantheons to work with in terms of worldbuilding, because they're kind of boring without flavor text. I, personally, find religion to be one of the most important factors in character creation even for non-divine characters. A character's religion is likely to effect their alignment, motivations, mechanical powers, enemies, allies, outlook on the world, and even their afterlife. Religion might even serve as a character's highest moral authority, since "God told me to do it" is often a better way to play than "It's just what my character would do".
The Elements Of Harmony would be a poor substitute for gods in terms of worship and character development, but they could at least give Clerics something to work with; perhaps they could even give roleplaying guides to nonclerics if they're given their own church affiliation ranking systems.

I've been reading the villain design handbook from KoK.
https://thetrove.net/Books/Hackmaster/Kingdoms%20of%20Kalamar/Sourcebooks/D&D%203.5e/%5BK&C1025%5D%20Kingdoms%20of%20Kalamar%20-%20Villain%20Design%20Handbook%20v3.5.pdf
I used to have a pretty bad opinion on kingdoms of Kalamar, but it has some okay ideas now that I look at it. Probably worth reading for those with spare time.

Someone shared Tactics of Everglow with me today, so I figured I'd share it.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IxF5mxSobK_ws-4Clto41_HwK6zpCo3l/view?usp=sharing
Has stats for Kirin in PF and 5e, although it was clearly written before season 8.

It has come to my knowledge that most of the links I posted here died with the trove. Damn shame.
